Novena to the Sacred Heart

My brothers and sisters in Christ,

Since its founding in 1826, the Archdiocese of St. Louis—often called the “Rome of the West”—has been a place of deep and living faith. For two hundred years, the faithful of this Archdiocese have given courageous witness to the Gospel. That story is beautifully reflected in the mosaics of our Cathedral Basilica, a story marked by faith, hope, and love.

But that story is not only in the past—it is still being written in our own day, in each of our lives. As we look ahead with gratitude and hope, we are invited not only to remember our heritage, but to renew our commitment to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

In that spirit, I invite you to join me in a Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Each day, you will receive a brief reflection inspired by the mosaics of our Cathedral, which for more than a century has stood as the spiritual heart of our Archdiocese.

The Novena begins on June 3 and concludes on June 12 with a consecration to the Sacred Heart on its feast day. I hope you will take part in this time of prayer. To learn more and sign up, please visit the link below.
